Therefore - Go and Make Disciples
Global Pathway training teaches church leaders why the church exists. In Matthew 28, he told us all to go into the whole world and make disciples. In order to obey Christ fully, every church must dedicate itself to expanding the Kingdom through international evangelism. The simple truth is that if the Great Commission applies to churches in affluent western countries, it must apply to churches in East Africa, too. Some will argue that congregations in poor parts of the world lack the resources to support missionary efforts, but that misses the point of the command of Christ. It may be true that plane tickets and computers are not in the budget for many congregations, but this does not change the words of Jesus. He tells us in Matthew 28:18 that all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to him, and in verse 19 that we are, therefore, to go.
All are called
The command to go stands regardless of the balance in our bank accounts, our levels of education, the color of our passports, or any other factor. We are one body called to one purpose. On the basis of the authority that Jesus Christ has been given, we are to unite together to send missionaries into the harvest fields. The church in East Africa is strong and mature. It is self-sustaining, self-propagating, and produces many eloquent and anointed ministers every day. Global Pathway provides the final piece needed to mobilize this deep pool of potential international disciple makers by giving simple and practical steps to follow. The teaching shows how every local church can play a significant role in world missions by empowering the pastor, and then envisioning and launching the congregation.
