There is no set time limit. A few hours and a few decades are both fine. We have had volunteers who helped us every weekend with a kid’s club for many years and others who helped us for only one afternoon with a Christmas play for orphans. Yes. We have a lot of experience in East Africa, and we are happy to help others learn what we know. East Africa is a beautiful place filled with beautiful people, stunning nature, and lions. We believe that God is working in and through the cultures here and will help foreign volunteers to see the beauty of the diversity and experience his character through other people’s eyes.

We don’t generally offer Swahili classes, but we’d love to help you learn everything you can about this lovely corner of the world. Usually, no, but it depends on the specific event or project that the volunteer is helping us with. Generally, we do not provide food or housing for volunteers helping us on our ministry projects. We like coffee and may provide it along with tea/water/snacks if appropriate for the event. If the project you are volunteering for requires overnight travel far from your home, we will ensure that appropriate food and shelter are available, usually at your cost.
